Football Recap: Tehillah Christian Academy Takes a Loss

The Tehillah Christian Academy Warriors lost to the Sherman Oaks CES Knights on the road by a 22-6 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 728th, while the Knights are ranked 22nd).

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Joshua Rojas, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sherman Oaks CES to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Mantes, who rushed for 101 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Mantes also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending two passes. Another back making a difference was John Santos, who rushed for 82 yards and one score.

Tehillah Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sherman Oaks CES, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Tehillah Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 60-8 defeat against Immanuel Christian on the 24th. As for Sherman Oaks CES, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-14 win against Lighthouse Christian on the 24th.
