Soccer Game Preview: Battle Ground Academy vs. Lipscomb Academy

Battle Ground Academy is 0-3 against Lipscomb Academy since August of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While Battle Ground Academy's victory against Columbia Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. Battle Ground Academy haven't had any issues with Columbia Academy recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lipscomb Academy's offense. They lost 6-0 to Harpeth Hall on Tuesday.

Battle Ground Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lipscomb Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1.

Battle Ground Academy might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Lipscomb Academy when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
