Softball Recap: Peninsula Seahawks vs. Lincoln Abes

The Peninsula Seahawks made easy work of the Lincoln Abes on Monday and carried off a 19-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seahawks.

Meghan Webster was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Webster was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ava Miranda was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Mira Sonnen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Peninsula always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted an OBP of .095.

Peninsula now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
