Basketball Recap: Borden Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Borden can now relate to. They took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Academy Warriors on Saturday. The Braves have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Joshua Renfro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christian Academy, going 6-for-12 to rack up 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Cook, who posted ten points and six boards.

Borden's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Borden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Academy, they will challenge Orleans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season.
