Basketball Recap: Cypress Woods Takes a Loss

Cypress Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cypress Ranch Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-58 back in December of 2024.

Cypress Woods' loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Cypress Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cypress Woods Wildcats challenge the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cypress Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Bridgeland at 1:00 p.m.
