Baseball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lewisville Lions, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 last Tuesday.

North Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patton Hood, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was Hood's first of the season.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Lewisville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

North Central will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cheraw at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Lewisville, they will square off against Buford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
