Basketball Recap: Kelso Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Naselle, Kelso was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Evergreen Plainsmen with a 54-50 win. The Hilanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Plainsmen, too.

Kelso's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Evergreen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Kelso will face off against WF West at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evergreen, they will head out to take on Mark Morris at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mark Morris knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Evergreen likes a good challenge.
