Basketball Game Preview: North Central Wolfpack vs. West Valley Eagles

The North Central Wolfpack will take on the West Valley Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, North Central got the win against Rogers by a conclusive 67-42. Given the Wolfpack's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Pirates are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Valley). They claimed a resounding 72-34 win over Deer Park. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three games in a row.

West Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for North Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

North Central didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against West Valley when the teams last played back in June of 2021, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win. Will North Central repeat their success, or does West Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
