Baseball Recap: Bayside Comes Up Short

Bayside was the 2-1 winner over Tradition Prep when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Bayside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Wolf, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Ryan Ramroop, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Bayside's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Tradition Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7-1.

Looking ahead, Bayside will square off against Melbourne Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hustlers have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Tradition Prep, they will take on Lake Worth at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
