Recap: Druid Hills Red Devils vs. Stone Mountain Pirates
The Druid Hills Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Stone Mountain by a score of 53-43. The win was just what Druid Hills needed coming off of a 62-25 defeat in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Stone Mountain still got an impressive performance from Makayla Wilson, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shameon King, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Druid Hills' win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Stone Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Druid Hills will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clarkston at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Clarkston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. As for Stone Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against Miller Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
