Basketball Game Preview: Bosco Tech Tigers vs. St. Genevieve Valiants

The Bosco Tech Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the St. Genevieve Valiants at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Bosco Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bosco Tech beat Taft 70-66.

Meanwhile, St. Genevieve had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Monday against Glendale by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Valiants' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 678th, while the Nitros are ranked 321st).

Bosco Tech's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for St. Genevieve, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Bosco Tech beat St. Genevieve 76-63 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bosco Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
