Baseball Recap: Medfield Find Success

Medfield lost to Norwood back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 5-1 win over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Danny Vazquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Medfield's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Medfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Gobin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Gobin has snagged this season.

Medfield's record now sits at 7-8. As for Norwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
