Cooperstown has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sauquoit Valley Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Cooperstown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-50 to Sherburne-Earlville. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cooperstown came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Sherburne-Earlville is ranked 530th).

The losing side was boosted by Charlie Lambert, who scored 17 points along with six assists and six steals. That was a full 34% of Cooperstown's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Bradley, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.

Sauquoit Valley suffered their closest defeat yet this season last Saturday. They fell just short of Oriskany by a score of 46-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sauquoit Valley has scored all season.
