Basketball Recap: Kobe Butler Key Part of a Team Effort in Huskies Win

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Paul Robeson came out on top. They walked away with a 70-58 win over the Roxborough Wolves on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.

Paul Robeson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Butler, who went 7 for 12 en route to 20 points and five boards. Butler's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Shiheed Rice-Sloan was another key player, going 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points.

Paul Robeson was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roxborough only racked up nine assists.

Roxborough's loss came despite strong showings from Zymeir Robinson and Nahir Wolfe. Robinson posted 12 points, while Wolfe went 5 for 10 en route to 15 points. Robinson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Terah Morris, who put up seven points.

Paul Robeson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Roxborough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Paul Robeson has already played their next game, a 71-50 win against Academy at Palumbo on the 28th. As for Roxborough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-37 victory against String Theory on the 27th.
