Downey had won two straight games and Tyler Harris did his part to make it three on Friday. The Downey Vikings put the hurt on the Paramount Pirates with a sharp 70-45 win thanks in part to Harris, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. His evening made it 22 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Frank Ibarra, who posted nine points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Downey is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Paramount, they dropped their record down to 4-23 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Downey will challenge Bellflower at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Downey's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Paramount, they will square off against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paramount is facing Norwalk at the right time seeing as Norwalk is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
