Softball Recap: Armada Takes a Loss

Armada extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 16-10 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lutheran North Mustangs. The shutout was out of character for the Tigers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

As for Lutheran North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Lutheran North's part, their victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Megan Rocker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Armada does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lutheran North, they have already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Richmond on the 31st.
