            Basketball Recap: Castlewood Warriors vs. Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones        
        
		
        
        
            If Castlewood was feeling good  fresh off their  48-22 takedown of Deuel last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Castlewood Warriors took  a  50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the  47-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in January of 2024.

 Despite the  loss, Castlewood saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Ava Ruml  posted eight points and four  blocks. Those four  blocks set a new season-high mark for  Ruml.
Castlewood has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record  this season. As for Clark/Willow Lake,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castlewood will welcome Great Plains Lutheran  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Great Plains Lutheran will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Castlewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clark/Willow Lake, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Deuel. Clark/Willow Lake is facing Deuel at the right time seeing as Deuel is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
