Football Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greenville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They lost 35-14 to Kaufman. Greenville was not able to make up for their defeat to Kaufman from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Jeremiah Freeman threw for 146 yards and two TDs. Montana McEwen was his top target, picking up 91 receiving yards and one score.

As for Kaufman, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 15, 2024 (when they won 49-21).

Elijah Rose was his usual excellent self, rushing for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Martin, who rushed for 61 yards and one score on only five carries.

Greenville has already played their next matchup, a 46-21 loss against Crandall on the 6th. As for Kaufman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 39-14 defeat against Midlothian Heritage on the 7th.
