Softball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Takes a Loss

Abingdon/Avon lost against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tornadoes took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abingdon/Avon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Ford, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Spartans beat Abingdon/Avon by a score of 11-0 later that day.
