Softball Recap: South Fulton's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hickman County, South Fulton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Carlisle County Comets by a score of 15-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their one-run performance the match before.

Avery Faulkner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and nine unearned) runs on 12 hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alli McFarland, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabi Long, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

The win snapped South Fulton's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record. As for Carlisle County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Fulton will take on Lake County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carlisle County, they will face off against Paducah Tilghman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paducah Tilghman will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Carlisle County surely won't give up without a fight.
