Preview: Burke Cougars vs. Wagner Red Raiders
After three games on the road, Burke is heading back home. They will take on the Wagner Red Raiders at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Two weeks ago, Burke was the victim of a tough 63-43 loss at the hands of Centerville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Burke has scored all season.
Even though Wagner has not done well against O'Neill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Wagner snuck past O'Neill with a 63-57 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Burke bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wagner, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
