Basketball Recap: Warren County Eagles vs. Vance Charter Knights
Warren County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 53-38 fall against the Vance Charter Knights on Thursday.

Warren County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mariah Harris, who posted four points along with eight boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Howard, who had nine points.
Vance Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Bullock out in front who scored seven points in addition to ten rebounds and six assists. Anna Lloyd was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven boards.
The victory (which was Vance Charter's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Warren County and Vance Charter will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on Louisburg at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Vance Charter, their break will end when they face South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on December 5.
