Basketball Recap: Newcomerstown Comes Up Short

Newcomerstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 70-54 fall against the Tuslaw Mustangs.

Newcomerstown's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Tuslaw, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newcomerstown will face off against Claymont at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Newcomerstown is facing Claymont at the right time seeing as Claymont is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Tuslaw, they will square off against East Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
