Softball Recap: Octorara Area Takes a Loss

If Octorara Area was riding high fresh off their 20-5 takedown of Garden Spot on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves came up short against the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen on Wednesday, falling 13-3. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Dutchmen recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Octorara Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Romero, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Devyn Harrington also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Octorara Area's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Annville-Cleona, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Octorara Area will challenge Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Annville-Cleona, they will take on Columbia at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Dutchmen are facing the Crimson Tide at the right time seeing as the Crimson Tide are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
