Baseball Recap: Minuteman Regional Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Minuteman Regional). They blew past the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs 17-3 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Minuteman Regional, bringing their record up to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Assabet Valley RVT, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minuteman Regional will face off against Mystic Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will take on Worcester Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something the Aztecs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
