Basketball Game Preview: Concord Minutemen vs. Fairfield Falcons

After both having extra time off, the Concord Minutemen and the Fairfield Falcons will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Saturday, Concord came up short against Berrien Springs and fell 54-42. While the Minutemen didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Shamrocks 14-10 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Fairfield hadn't done well against Jimtown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Saturday. Fairfield sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 win over Jimtown. The team accrued 35 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

The win got Fairfield back to even at 3-3. As for Concord, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
