Recap: Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets vs. Calexico Bulldogs
The Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets lost against the Calexico Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Palo Verde Valley's rough 58-38 defeat to Calexico might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Palo Verde Valley in their matchups with Calexico: they've now lost seven in a row.
Palo Verde Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ezekiel Gibson, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Rudy Armstrong was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and five blocks.
Palo Verde Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Calexico, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Palo Verde Valley will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central at 7:00 p.m. Calexico is on the road again on Friday and play against Imperial at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
