Baseball Recap: Linton-Stockton Comes Up Short

Linton-Stockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Edgewood Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Linton-Stockton's record now sits at 7-13. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Linton-Stockton will take on South Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edgewood, they will challenge Indianapolis Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Continentals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.33 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
