Softball Recap: McKenzie Tigers vs. Red Level Tigers

The home team had come away the winner the last four times McKenzie and Red Level had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. McKenzie came up short against Red Level on Tuesday, falling 20-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Red Level this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 last Tuesday.

McKenzie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charissa Bullard, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Bullard also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

McKenzie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Red Level, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, McKenzie will venture away from home to challenge Brantley at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. McKenzie has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Red Level will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Elba at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st.
