Soccer Game Preview: Glenpool vs. Skiatook

Glenpool is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Skiatook is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will host the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Glenpool came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Holland Hall, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Glenpool haven't been shut out since back in February.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skiatook). Everything went their way against Miami on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Skiatook, who have now won six games by four goals or more so far this season.

Skiatook is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 55 goals over those eight contests. As for Glenpool, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Glenpool was able to grind out a solid victory over Skiatook in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
