Softball Recap: Clarkdale Comes Up Short

Clarkdale fell victim to Choctaw Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Choctaw Central Warriors, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Clarkdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rivers Jay, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Clarkdale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Choctaw Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarkdale will square off against Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Choctaw Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Choctaw Central likes a good challenge.
