Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots vs. Las Lomas Knights

The St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots will face off against the Las Lomas Knights at 10:45 a.m. on Monday. One thing working in St. Joseph Notre Dame's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.

St. Joseph Notre Dame will head out to face Las Lomas after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. St. Joseph Notre Dame fell 70-58 to Cornerstone Christian.

Meanwhile, Las Lomas hadn't done well against Campolindo recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Las Lomas snuck past Campolindo with a 58-53 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Cougars are ranked 70th).

Las Lomas is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

St. Joseph Notre Dame came up short against Las Lomas in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 57-45. Can St. Joseph Notre Dame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
