Baseball Game Preview: Dover Eagles vs. West York Area Bulldogs

Dover is 2-8 against West York Area since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Eagles will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m.

Dover is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of York Suburban.

Deklan Lawlor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Mason Murdock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, West York Area was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennard-Dale on Monday, taking the game 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

West York Area pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Dover, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
