Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ryan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bishop Ryan lost against Velva back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions came up short against the Aggies, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

While Bishop Ryan was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Keely Cadwell, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 12 contests.

Bishop Ryan has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-1 record this season. As for Velva, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8-1.

Coincidentally, Bishop Ryan and Velva will both be playing Surrey the next time they take the court. The Aggies will head out to face the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Lions will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
