Nettleton had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Choctaw County Chargers with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bailey Payne spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Zyah Gunter was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Addie Bates was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Nettleton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Choctaw County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Nettleton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Choctaw County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
