Flag Football Recap: Eaglecrest Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Eaglecrest fell victim to Grandview and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a blow against the Wolves, falling 32-0. The Raptors lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 7-0 score last time.

Naomi Emecheta threw for 51 yards on 12 of 26 attempts. On the ground, Baiylee Hervey rushed for 32 yards.

Grandview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Sullivan, who threw for 159 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of her passes. Sullivan didn't just play on offense: she also made four total tackles and defended two passes. Aliya Zitek was another key receiver, picking up 74 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Eaglecrest's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Grandview, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Eaglecrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 40-7 loss against Cherry Creek on the 25th. As for Grandview, they have also already played their next contest, a 53-0 win against Cherokee Trail on the 20th.
