Preview: Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies vs. DuSable Panthers

The Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the DuSable Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully DuSable likes a good challenge.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 104-8 win over Victoria Soto. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Horizon Science Academy-Southwest has posted yet this season.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shane Foster, who scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foster has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marlon Williams, who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 15 rebounds, and ten assists.

Meanwhile, DuSable waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 victory over Instituto Health Sciences.

Patrick Malone was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest pushed their record up to 16-7 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.9 points per game. As for DuSable, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest didn't have too much breathing room in their game against DuSable in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
