Weiser, Idaho, is now home to the most prolific single-season goal scorer in the history of high school girls soccer.
Junior
Lauren Bouvia piled up a mind-boggling 127 goals this fall while leading
Weiser to a 20-1 record and Idaho's Class 3A state title.
"The community is really proud of her," Weiser soccer coach Sharona Olsen said.

Bouvia, who is already committed to UC Davis where her older sister Nicole plays, netted a season-best 10 goals against Fruitland on Oct. 10 and scored at least one goal in every match. Incredibly, she was also credited with 23 assists.
According to Olsen, Bouvia was subbed out or moved to defense in at least half of the Wolverines' matches to curtail her scoring.
The
National Federation of High Schools Record Book lists the previous record for single season goals at 106, accomplished by Shannon Stiewert of
Coronado (El Paso, Texas) in 1989. The career mark is held by Erin Martin of
Temple City (Calif.), who recorded 286 between 1989-92.
To put into perspective how outrageous Bouvia's numbers were this fall, consider that the second-highest total reported to MaxPreps was 79 — and that came in 24 matches.
The leading goal scorer in NCAA Division I women's soccer during the 2015 season was Nykosi Simmons of Mississippi Valley State, who finished with 26 in 22 outings.
Older sister Nicole is a junior defender at UC Davis and was a prolific scorer in her own right at
Central Valley Christian (Visalia, Calif.). As a senior in 2013, she tallied 27 goals.
