Frances Toman made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Hailey Lang was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Wiseburn- Da Vinci came up short against Mira Costa on Wednesday, falling 11-3. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.
Anali Jimenez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lelina Hoffman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Peninsula, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Peninsula has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Peninsula's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
