Game recap: Rockhurst High School Football Team defeats Rock Bridge

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Rock Bridge (Columbia, Mo.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 11 in Missouri, but was stunned by Rockhurst (Kansas City, Mo.), 47-28. Rockhurst was ranked at No. 12 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Missouri coming into the week.

After taking the lead on a John Lusker touchdown run in the second quarter, the Hawklets led 26-7 at the half.

Rockhurst grew its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a T.j. Green touchdown run.

Green and Lusker ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Bruins. Green scored two touchdowns on the ground and Lusker added two as well.

The victory was a step in the right direction for the Kansas City school, which was coming off a 34-24 defeat at the hands of Liberty in its previous game.
