Volleyball Recap: Clovis North Broncos vs. Clovis West Golden Eagles
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Clovis North and Clovis West have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Broncos came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 7th.
Clovis North took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-19.
Clovis West was led to victory by Naomi Gagan and Eve Dixon. Gagan had four digs and two aces, while Dixon had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Dixon has posted over her last six matches.
Clovis North's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-25. As for Clovis West, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 26-12.
Clovis North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clovis West, they will head out on the road to square off against San Luis Obispo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
