Softball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hidalgo last Saturday, Valley View came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 14-4 to the Grulla Gators on Tuesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gators earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Grulla, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Valley View Tigers duke it out with La Feria Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grulla, they will square off against Hidalgo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
