While it was Stringer who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Taylorsville who put up more. The Red Devils fell just short of the Tartars by a score of 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Tartars: they've now lost three in a row.

Stringer's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-15. As for Taylorsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

While Stringer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
