Carbon Hill entered their tilt with Winfield on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Winfield Pirates 49-46. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Pirates are ranked 139th).

Carbon Hill pushed their record up to 8-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
