Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Takes a Loss

Notre Dame-Green Pond lost against Bethlehem Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crusaders came up short against the Hawks, falling 11-5.

Hannah Lilly and Natalie Lilly stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hannah got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Natalie went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Addison Ryan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Notre Dame-Green Pond has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame-Green Pond will take on Salisbury Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they will challenge Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
