Football Recap: Marietta Comes Up Short + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 10-10 at halftime, Marietta was not quite West Forsyth's equal in the second half on Friday. The matchup between the Blue Devils and the Wolverines didn't end well, with the Blue Devils falling 31-17. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 28-7 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jayden Whiteside threw for 83 yards and one touchdown. Samaj Anderson was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Titus Grant rushed for 29 yards.

Andrew Davis was nothing short of spectacular for West Forsyth: he rushed for 233 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. Davis' longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.

Marietta's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Forsyth, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Marietta will host McEachern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Forsyth, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
