Basketball Game Preview: Rich Rebels vs. Kemmerer Rangers

Rich has gone 8-1 against Kemmerer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rich Rebels will be taking part in a tournament against the Kemmerer Rangers at 2:30 p.m. Rich is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Rich will head into Saturday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 29-point drubbing they dealt Tintic on Saturday. Rich blew past Tintic 52-23. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Rich's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kira Jolley, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Jolley a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Cassandra Argyle, who had seven points and three steals.

Rich smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Kemmerer played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 76-33 loss at the hands of Pinedale. The Rangers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Rich pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kemmerer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
