Volleyball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Sterling Black Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Tuesday.

While Trinity ultimately came up short, they really made Sterling work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 26-24.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Sterling, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Trinity and Sterling could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The Celtics will take on Inman on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (290 vs. 104). Meanwhile, Sterling (ranked 186th) will meet Sedgwick (ranked 34th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
