Softball Preview: Point Arena Pirates vs. Tomales Braves        
        
		
            
 The Point Arena Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tomales Braves at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Tomales took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Point Arena, who comes in off a win.
 Last Friday, Point Arena got the win against Laytonville  by a conclusive  12-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Point Arena.
  Roselyn Aguilar-Villagomez was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole five bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addison Clark, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Tomales couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. Their  tough  13-2 loss to Healdsburg  back in March might stick with them for a while. The  defeat means Tomales is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
 Point Arena now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tomales, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Point Arena took their  win against Tomales  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2023 by a conclusive  22-1. Does  Point Arena have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tomales turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
