Soccer Recap: Spring Takes a Loss

If Spring was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nimitz last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spring Lions came up short against the Aldine Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Spring has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Aldine, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Looking ahead, Spring will challenge Westfield at 5:45 p.m. on February 19th. As for Aldine, they will square off against Dekaney at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. Dekaney's last nine matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
